This project involved the extension and renovation of an existing dormer bungalow.
The design concept was to modernise the existing house by knocking through small, poorly orientated spaces in to larger, extended volumes, creating well lit open plan living spaces with better visual connections to the surrounding spectacular Hook Peninsula. The original roof was replaced and raised to a more usable height. A new bedroom wing was created in a separate structure to visually reduce the massing of the combined building volume on this narrow site.
The extension and remodel was completed in 2018.
